Here at Anxiety.org, we are committed to ensuring that anyone suffering from an anxiety disorder has access to all the resources they need to understand and overcome their affliction. Our dedicated team works to make mental health information accessible, inclusive, easy-to-find, and easy-to-understand.

Asbestos

Asbestos is the home of the Mesothelioma Center (Asbestos.com). This organization works with individuals with mesothelioma and their families to help them find local doctors, treatment centers and support groups.

Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACATs)

ACATS help older people and their carers work out what kind of care will best meet their needs when they are no longer able to manage at home without assistance. ACATs provide information on suitable care options and can help arrange access or referral to appropriate residential or community care.

Aged Care Queensland

Aged Care Queensland Inc is the Queensland peak body for the providers of aged and community care and retirement services. All are united in a common concern to provide aged, community and retirement services of excellence. It is not a government department, nor government funded but funded by industry membership fees. Aged Care Queensland Inc seeks to ensure quality of care and service provision to all older Queenslanders.

Alzheimer's Australia

Alzheimer's Australia is the national peak body for people living with dementia, their families and carers and provides leadership in policy and services.

Australian Department of Health and Ageing

The Department of Health and Ageing has a diverse set of responsibilities, but throughout there is a common purpose, which is reflected in our Vision statement: Better health and active ageing for all Australians. We aim to achieve our Vision through strengthening evidence-based policy advising, improving program management, research, regulation and partnerships with other government agencies, consumers and stakeholders.

Blue Care

The University of Queensland and Blue Care have forged a formal academic link and developed The University of Queensland/Blue Care Research Practice Development Centre (RPDC). This is a significant collaborative initiative that strengthens academic/industry partnerships and provides mutual benefit to both organisations.

National Seniors Association

National Seniors is a not-for-profit membership based community organisation which has as its major objectives:

  • To provide economic and social benefits for people 50 years and over;
  • Represent its members views to Government at all levels;
  • To make donations and provide service and advice to charitable institutions assisting people 50 years and over.

Probus Association of Queensland

Probus aims to advance Probus as a worthwhile community organisation for retired and semi retired people by sharing ideas and information, coordinating multi club opportunities for friendship, fellowship and social interaction, and assisting with the formation of new clubs

University of the Third Age, Brisbane

Brisbane U3A is one of many similar U3A organisations in Australia. Formed in 1986 we provide leisure and educational courses to local seniors. U3A Brisbane has been situated at 97 Creek Street since 2012 and now has in excess of 3,500 members offering over 240 courses. We also have alternate premises at 232 Adelaide Street in the Brisbane CBD, both locations are handy to train, bus and City Cat services.

Alzheimer's Disease International

Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) is the umbrella organisation of Alzheimer associations around the world. We aim to help establish and strengthen Alzheimer associations throughout the world, and to raise global awareness about Alzheimer's disease and all other causes of dementia.

American Geriatrics Society

The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is a not-for-profit organization of close to 6,000 health professionals devoted to improving the health, independence and quality of life of all older people. The Society provides leadership to healthcare professionals, policy makers and the public by implementing and advocating for programs in patient care, research, professional and public education, and public policy
